What Must I DO to be SAVED? 🤷‍♀️

February 2, 2023

Dear Team Mylon,

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?

Our time here on this earth is so short. Have you noticed how many notable people have died in the past year? Many of them were friends from my rock and roll days. Their fame, fortune and even the best medical science in the world couldn’t extend their life by one moment. Current data states that between 150,000-160,000 people die everyday around the world, approximately 2 people every second. Now more than ever we need to know that we know, we’re ready for our heavenly home and eternal assignment.

According to the signs of the times explained in God’s Word, Jesus is coming soon. So if we want to bring millions with us to heaven, our primary call is to boldly declare to those we come in contact with what they must do to BE SAVED. Romans 10:14-15 says, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?” Because of your powerful agreement in prayer and generous giving, we are sharing the good news of The Gospel to the nations through On the Road to Freedom TV, THANK YOU!

As we’ve taught before, the word saved is the Greek word sozo. Strong’s Concordance explains that in addition to salvation from our sins, sozo also includes deliverance, protection, healing, preservation, to do well, and be (made) whole. Glory to God, being saved includes everything we need for freedom in this life!

In Acts 16 we read of the account of Paul and Silas being thrown into prison after being beaten with rods for their bold faith. Instead of despair, their response to this gross injustice was singing hymns to God. God was pleased with their sacrifice of praise and at midnight there was an earthquake, “and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.” (Verse 26‬)‬‬ The jailer assumed they had all escaped and was about to kill himself. But in verse 28 Paul shouted to him, “Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.” The jailer fell down trembling before Paul and Silas and said, “Sirs, WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?” Knowing the full meaning of saved we could say, “What must I DO to be delivered? Protected? Preserved? Healed? Made whole?” Here’s the answer in verse 31:

“BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus Christ [give yourself up to Him, take yourself out of your own keeping and entrust yourself into His keeping] and you will be saved…you and your household as well.” AMPC‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

This verse was the direction of the Lord to us when we took a time of rest and refreshment during the Christmas holiday. When our faith is in JESUS, He is our Savior, our Deliverer, our Protector AND our Healer. We surrender to His Lordship when we trust our lives completely to His care. But how many times have we leaned on our own understanding trying to “fix” the situation? How many sleepless nights and anxious days have we endured endeavoring to solve our problems in our own strength? Trying to “fix it” means we think we can. That’s pride. First Peter 5:5 says that God resists the proud but gives GRACE to the HUMBLE. With all the urgency we can express, we admonish you that NOW is the time to “humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting ALL your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” (I Peter‬ 5‬:6‬-7‬) ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Regardless the size of the challenge, HE IS GREATER. Healing our bodies, no matter how serious the doctor’s diagnosis, is a little thing to Him. Delivering us from a mountain of debt, is a little thing to Him. But to experience His saving power, total surrender to His Lordship is required. Let’s say this together,

“I humble myself under the mighty hand of God. I take myself out of my own keeping and entrust myself, my family, my health and my future to Your keeping. I cast ALL my care on You King Jesus and therefore, me and my household will be saved!”

As you cheerfully sow your precious seed this month, your giving is an act of faith entrusting your needs to Jehovah Jireh, your Provider. We joyfully declare, “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus!” (Philippians‬ 4‬:19‬)‬‬‬‬‬‬

We love you dearly,

Mylon and Christi
