GUARANTEED GRACE 🙏
Dear Team Mylon,
We’re praying for you! Recently we had a powerful prayer time in our home with some of the anointed ladies who help run our ministry office, Ms. Beth and Ms. Linda. They’re the ones who daily handle all the logistics of the ministry; whether it’s answering your email/phone call, sending you faith resources or receiving your monthly seed into God’s kingdom. But the most important responsibility they have is to pray with us FOR YOU! Ms. Linda shared Proverbs 11:30 AMP, “The fruit of the [consistently] righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise captures and wins souls [for God—he gathers them for eternity].” Be encouraged—together, we are winning souls for JESUS!
Last month, we attended Brother Keith and Phyllis Moore’s Greater Faith Conference in Sarasota, FL. My daughter and son-in-law, Summer and Peter Furler, who live in Florida, came to join us. It was a great joy to seek the Lord together as a family. (We encourage you to connect on this link to hear for yourself these life changing messages.) We were surprised to learn that the keys to what Jesus called GREAT FAITH are humility and submission. The opposing force to these power twins is PRIDE. As we humbled ourselves under the mighty hand of God and repented for any and all prideful behavior, The Lord said, “I am refining you.” Refining is defined as, “The act of purifying by separating from a substance all extraneous matter; as the refinement of metals.”  This means God is separating us from foreign ways of thinking, speaking and acting that don’t belong to us as believers!
So how do we cooperate with the refining process? WE HUMBLE OURSELVES. First Peter 5:5 NLT says, “And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives GRACE to the HUMBLE.” I’m sure we can agree we don’t need God to oppose us but rather desperately need Him to pour out His amazing grace.
HUMILITY = GUARANTEED GRACE!
We understand from Romans 12:3 NKJV that a humble person does not “think of himself more highly than he ought to think.” But a proud person is “overbearing, presumptuous and boastful.” (I Peter 5:5 AMPC) Unfortunately, for those who refuse the refining process, the book of Proverbs explains over and over again the miserable result of pride is overwhelming failure. Proverbs 16:18 NKJV says, “Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.” This is most evident through our relationships: family, marriage, employer, etc. Proverbs 11:2 TPT warns, “When you act with presumption, convinced that you’re right, don’t be surprised if you fall flat on your face! But humility leads to wisdom.” Further wisdom is revealed in Proverbs 13:10, explaining the root of strife is pride.
We understand this is a serious subject but now more than ever, we need to recognize we’re in a spiritual war. Our enemy is relentless in stirring up strife between husbands and wives, parents and children; pitting denomination against denomination, one color of skin against another, Democrats against Republicans, young against the old, and women against men. James 3:14-17 admonishes us:
“But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” KJV
This passage makes it clear that when we’re fighting for our rights to “speak our truth,” this worldly wisdom is of the devil and opens the door to confusion and eventually every evil work. Walking in the wisdom of God is marked by peace, gentleness and the fruit of His Spirit. Declare with us, “I submit to God’s refining process. I humble myself under the mighty hand of God and repent for any and all prideful behavior. Thank you Lord for revealing Your wisdom that empowers me to walk in Your unfailing love.” Â
We give because we love God and we love people. As you sow your holy seed this month, please remember that our giving is an act of obedience to keep the Kingdom of God FIRST. So Rejoice! Your submission to His Word is causing God’s multiplied grace, blessing and favor to chase you down and overtake you…BE BLESSED!
We love you dearly,
Mylon and Christi
