Get Back Up! 🥊

Dear Team Mylon,

Glory to God! I’m so excited to share the video above of my first Sunday morning service at Faith Outreach Church in Clarksville, TN with Pastors William and Ginger Luffman. Mylon was preaching at this church before we married over 25 years ago. So needless to say, they’re family. Another surprise was my dear friend, Pastor Drenda Keesee from Faith Life Church in New Albany, OH flew in to be with me for my first service. Also, Teri Bailey, wife of Gene Bailey (host of Flashpoint) flew with me from Texas (see my favorite pictures below). I had two powerhouse sisters, one on each side of me the whole trip cheering me on! This moment of ministry was significant because I stepped into a new season and boy, did God show up. But wait…there’s more!

For the booking of our first filming trip on location for On the Road to Freedom, Mylon had instructed me to get “snow shows” next. After getting specific direction from the Lord to reach out to a contact and before I had a chance to call, that same person called me the next day to sow into the ministry a beautiful Colorado ranch home to film our broadcast for the week! Thanking God, I asked Him, “Should I have a guest on this filming trip?” TWO days later, while attending my home church (emic.org) Kenneth Copeland said to me, “Christi, I’m ready to do broadcasts with you. When you’re ready, let’s set it up!” WOW!! This is the praise report I’ve been so excited to share with you for the past few months. My father in faith will be launching me into my first broadcasts on location…God is so good!

God is overtaking us with His blessing, but this turnaround came with FIRST deciding to… continue in The Word. As you may know, we start every broadcast with John 8:31-32. “IF you will CONTINUE in My Word then truly, you are My disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will make you free.” Now more than ever before this instruction is being put to the test. We are living in perilous times. In a time of crisis:

Will we continue when we don’t understand?
Will we continue when it looks like it didn’t work?
Will we continue under immense pressure to quit?

Because this choice is what determines if we truly are disciples of Jesus Christ. And when we choose to continue, (I have, how about you?) then The Truth will be revealed to us that sets us on our road to freedom. What do you need to be free of? Free from fear? Free from sickness or disease? Free from emotional pain? Jesus said freedom comes with the initial choice to continue. Once I chose to continue in The Word, that’s when I got back in the ring and put my gloves back on! (If you can only watch a few minutes of the video, I take out the boxing gloves the last 10 minutes.) What do I mean? There is a fight to faith. I Timothy 6:12 tells us to, “Fight the good fight of faith.” It’s a good fight because if we don’t give up, we WIN!

The only way to keep fighting when the trials of life have knocked us down is to GET BACK UP. Isaiah 60:1 AMPC instructs us to “ARISE from the prostration in which circumstances have kept you.” Through the last year of this battle, believe me I have been on my face before the Throne of Grace. All of us get knocked down in life but no matter what we’re facing, the way to victory will always involve our FAITH. I John 5:4 confirms, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” Every victory Mylon and I received over the past 25 years, involved us using our faith. It’s no different now just because I’m fighting my Goliath. I thought the last test was my most difficult, but it was preparing me for this one.

Whatever you’re facing today, by the grace of God we can do this! Let’s join together in faith and declare, “I choose to continue in The Word. Trials may have knocked me down but I’m getting back in the fight of faith. In Christ I’m a born overcomer!”

This month, REJOICE as you GIVE for “it shall be given to you: pressed down, shaken together, and running over.” (Luke 6:38) Our obedience to The Truth is how we get back up from bankruptcy, job loss, or financial decrease. When we stay in faith, victory is guaranteed!
