Our Hero – God
Dear Team Mylon,
Wow, can you believe it’s already the most wonderful time of the year? I’d like to start by wishing you and yours a very MERRY CHRISTMAS! Thank you for your powerful agreement to stand with me for this NEW SEASON. God is doing great things! Last month we shared with you our NEW NAME, Christi Le Fevre Ministries. When I look back on 2025, I’m in awe of God’s goodness. We filmed 44 NEW episodes of On the Road to Freedom in Texas, California, Colorado, Louisiana and Oklahoma with special guests, Nancy Dufresne, Carolyn Savelle and Mark and Trina Hankins. In addition to church meetings in Alabama and Texas, we also began our NEW PODCAST, Healed Heart with Christi. We could not have produced these powerful teachings without YOU!
Recently, on a chilly day in Oklahoma, we filmed our very first Christmas program. (Be on the lookout Christmas week!) To prepare I read the “Christmas story” from The Passion Translation (TPT). In Luke 2:10-14, the angel appeared to the shepherds in the field saying:
“Don’t be afraid, for I have come to bring you good news, the most joyous news the world has ever heard! And it is for everyone everywhere! For today in Bethlehem a rescuer was born for you. He is the Lord Yahweh, the Messiah…Then all at once in the night sky, a vast number of glorious angels appeared, the very armies of heaven! And they all praised God, singing: “Glory to God in the highest realms of heaven! For there is peace and a good hope given to the sons of men.”
Celebrating the birth of Jesus is recognizing Christ our Redeemer. Galatians 3:13-14 says, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us…that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus.” Some of my favorite definitions for redeem are “to RESCUE from captivity or bondage. To pay the penalty of. To save. To perform what has been promised.” Because of what Jesus, our Redeemer, accomplished for us, we are BLESSED. One of the blessings of redemption is being rescued out of danger or trouble. Psalms 78:35 TPT shares, “They remembered that God, the Mighty One, was their strong protector, the HERO-GOD who would come to their rescue.” I love this translation because I watched Superman growing up and now I look to KING JESUS as my HERO-GOD! And guess what, He’s come to my rescue every single time! Isaiah 43:1 TPT confirms, “Do not fear, for I, your Kinsman-Redeemer, will rescue you. I have called you by name, and you are mine.”
Ever since Mylon graduated to heaven, this definition of my Kinsman-Redeemer is extra special. Isaiah 54:5 explains, “For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.” For those of you who are single like me, be encouraged you have The perfect Husband (or Helpmate) who meets every need. We can be happy knowing Jesus “redeems our life from the pit and crowns us (lavishly) with lovingkindness and tender mercy.” (Psalms 103:4 AMP) Now, we see why we have so much to be thankful for this holiday season.
When we remember it’s Jesus’ birthday, not ours, we won’t stress over Christmas shopping or decorations. If you agree, please say this with me, “I choose to celebrate and focus on the gift of my Redeemer, King Jesus. He’s redeemed me from the curse of the law, rescued me and called me by name. He is The Mighty One, my Hero-God!”
As you give your precious seed this month, oooooh you’re going to be thrilled with this aspect of our Redeemer in Isaiah 48:17, “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer… “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to PROFIT, Who leads you by the way you should go.” Jesus, our Redeemer, is teaching us to profit—leading us forward and advancing us in our finances but also in our health, family, and future!
