All Things New 🌼

Dear Team Mylon,
What an amazing adventure it is to serve God! Our first filming trip of the year in the Texas Hill Country was awesome—THANK YOU for praying. Please see the re-cap videos at the bottom of this letter. I know it will bless you to SEE what The Lord has done. As I mentioned in last month’s letter, we’ve entered into another new chapter. We’ve written our mission statement and vision clearly so that we may run with it! (Read all about it: April Partner Letter/Faith Center at mylon.org.) I joyfully declare, the old has passed away and God is making all things new! Second Corinthians 5:17 explains, “Therefore, if anyone is IN CHRIST, he is a NEW creation; old things have passed away; behold, ALL things have become NEW.” In Revelation 21:5 we read a second witness, “Then He Who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW.” Please notice:
Anything NEW is God’s territory.
A new season, vision or purpose, is only found in God. Some people think if they get a new car, a different house or make a career change, they can finally start over. But if we need a new beginning, we must GO TO GOD, for He alone makes all things new!
When entering into a new season with The Lord, it’s important we don’t try to take any of our old ways of thinking with us and limit His good plan. Jesus said in Luke 5:37-39, “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins…New wine must be stored in new wineskins.” Years ago, my late husband and I were doing some renovations on our almost 40 year home. As an interior designer, what I’ve noticed is when I replace the old with the new, how much more evident the old is. In order to save money in our kitchen renovation, we kept a hugearchaic intercom system mounted to the wall, which during its time was state of the art…with a cassette player! Everything around it was brand new but when you see that relic (which seriously could go to a museum) it’s glaringly obvious that all things were not made new.
Please understand I’m not talking about changing structural components as in a strong foundation. Our home has good bones and so does this ministry. It was built on the power of agreement that God’s Word is The Truth and FINAL authority. This is our strong foundation and that will never change. If we need to do some upgrades, the good news is the Holy Spirit will reveal any hindering attitudes or mindsets. Moving forward, let’s not limit God by clinging to what our flesh finds comfortably familiar (like we did with that old intercom system) and allow The Lord to reveal a new perspective. Hebrews 11:15-16 explains if we “think with [homesick] remembrance” of what is behind, it gives us “constant opportunity to return to it.” But we are to “yearn for and aspire to a better” future which is a faith mindset that pleases God. It’s time for us to dream of a brighter path ahead than we’ve ever walked before. So, I want to ask you a question,
Are you desiring something better? I am!
Things can’t get better without changing. In order to embrace the new, we must choose to FORGET THE PAST. The apostle Paul said in Philippians 3:13-14 TPT, “I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead.” Mic drop…I fasten my heart to the future. We know faith is of the heart. (Romans 10:10) That’s why we guard our heart because out of it flow the very issues of life itself. (Proverbs 4:23) We also understand, it’s out of the abundance of the heart, we speak. (Matthew 12:34) So, here’s our part:
- BELIEVE your best days are in front of you.
- TREASURE what’s ahead, not behind.
- GUARD against thoughts of the “good ole days” or “sins of the past.”
- SPEAK the future you want.
Let’s say together, “This is my focus: I forget the past and I fasten my heart to the future. My best days are in front of me not behind me!”
In obedience to the Holy Spirit’s leading, we’re launching our New Podcast on Mother’s Day, HEALED HEART with Christi. This new platform will allow me to expound on one subject point at a time in comparison to 5 or 6 teaching topics in one episode of On the Road to Freedom. Being more concise, you can receive a word of encouragement in 10-15 minutes. Or if you’d rather listen on the go, they’ll also be available on all our podcast platforms. Be sure to subscribe to our channel to receive new episodes each week!
As you sow your seed this month, get excited about the NEW WINE God is pouring out. Along with our anointed prayer team, we’re standing with you and believe God is giving you creative ideas and concepts for business, divine strategies and wise investments for your future. Glory to God, He is making all things new!
Praying for you daily and love you dearly,
P.S. Our first HEALED HEART podcast series is from my book, The Gracious Woman. To celebrate, we’re offering this month a special package (Perfect for Mother’s Day) of The Gracious Woman, The Adventures of Twirling Girl and The Honeymoon is Over, Now What? The regular price is $35 plus shipping, but our May offer is $20 plus shipping.
